Throw: Home Goods | Chair: Overstock
Happy Saturday y’all! I just thought I’d share my home office with you today. I love home decor and finding new pieces to complete a space. I’m still working on my little nook of an “home office” but I love it so far! When we lived in Texas I had a super tiny apartment so my work space was my couch and a laptop. I ended up purchasing my iMac back in July because I never felt like I was working on a laptop. It has been a game changer to say the least! Editing and filtering through photos is a dream. I’ll never take a real mouse for granted haha.
One of my biggest must haves when we were looking for a new place was a little space for my work area. It’s still completely in the living room but it’s better than being on the same table as the living room TV! It’s just Michael and I so we don’t have a ton of furniture and what we do have isn’t large. So since we have a three cushion couch that’s all the seating we really need. Where a love seat would normally go I just made my desk area! I probably won’t go crazy and decorate my desk anymore than what you see just because it’s in the living room and Michael probably wouldn’t appreciate anymore girly-ness than this apartment already has 😉
I actually purchased this desk from World Market right before we moved from Texas. It’s huge! I loved the wood on it, too. A lot of bloggers want furniture white and to add accent pieces around the white but I think the wood adds more dimension to the space than an all white desk would!
I took a risk when I ordered my chair online for my home office. You never know with comfortability and scale wise how it will work for a space. It actually worked out well! I keep the fur throw on it to make it cozy and in the winter I switch it to a red plaid blanket to be festive. Fun fact…I actually get all of my big furniture pieces on sale. My best advice is to wait for Holiday weekends!
If y’all have any questions or want to see any other spaces in my home feel free to let me know! I would love to incorporate more home decor into my blog 🙂
